Power tools users offered safety advice
People who regularly make use of power tools have been warned about some of the safety dangers that such devices may pose if they are not aware of the risks.An article for Forbes.com written by William Baldwin has offered some advice to consumers about the things that they should take into account when opting to employ power tools.
The article, which contains additional reporting from Michele Anderson, suggests that clamps should be used during work that involves sawing.
Meanwhile, the Forbes.com piece also highlights the importance of goggles in ensuring people's personal safety.
'People with zero experience are walking into rental centres and coming home with concrete saws, fencepost augers and backhoes,' Mr Baldwin has noted.
Ahead of the new year, the UK's Health and Safety Executive aimed to raise awareness of workplace safety issues among companies operating in a number of different sectors, which may include the construction industry.
