Power tools firm to celebrate centenary year A major power tools firm has confirmed that it is to celebrate its centenary year in 2010.

Black & Decker has noted how the range of products that it offers has expanded over time, with the firm now a provider of things like fastening systems along with power tool devices.

In order to mark the 100-year occasion, consumers will soon be able to access a microsite when they go online, which will highlight some of the company's key achievements over the course of the last century.

Black & Decker's consumer products group president Bruce Brooks has pointed out that his company aims to simplify people's daily routines.

He commented: 'Black & Decker - through a focus on customer needs and innovation - has become a part of the American landscape.'

Power tools currently offered by Black & Decker include products such as cordless drills and sander devices.
