Female DIYers 'could benefit from power tools courses'

Female DIYers 'could benefit from power tools courses' By taking part in courses, women might be able to learn more about the ways in which power tools can be used around the home, one writer has suggested.

Commenting in an article published by Women24, Janice Anderssen has pointed out the need for females to avoid utilising power tools if they are not fully sure about trying their hand at them.

She stated in her piece: 'If you don't have confidence when it comes to using power tools - don't use them.

'Sign up, instead, for a course and learn how to use them safely.'

The writer went on to highlight the potential dangers of using electrical tools in outdoor environments when the weather is particularly wet.

When it comes to DIY work, Halifax Home Insurance research recently suggested that 65 per cent of people under the age of 35 feel their home improvement skills are worse than their fathers'.
