DIY fans gain home improvement advice at Belfast show

DIY fans gain home improvement advice at Belfast show A number of power tools and DIY fans were recently given the opportunity to find out more about new home improvement developments at a Belfast-based show.

Taking place at King's Hall over the weekend, the SelfBuild Show gave people the chance to gain a greater insight into sustainable building practices.

Commenting on the show, which he helped to open, Edwin Poots of the Northern Ireland Executive noted the benefits offered by the event.

Mr Poots, the country's environment minister, stated: 'I am very impressed with the SelfBuild Show and how it has gone from strength to strength over the years since it first opened in 1997.'

The minister suggested that there was 'no better place' for householders to discover more about the options that are open to them when it comes to the issue of home improvements.

Thermal efficiency was one of the SelfBuild event's main areas of focus this year.
